Our Chiefs

Dennis McMahon

Since 1984, Chief Dennis McMahon has served as an EMT with WVAA. He is also a little league coach in Wethersfield and an adjunct professor at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford. He has worked as a lawyer since 1981. He has been chief previous to this term and has come back to it again because WVAA needs people who care and who will dig down and get the job done.

Assistant Chief of Operations

2018- present

Assistant Chief Garrett Ludwig has been an active member of WVAA since the early 80's. His devotion to the community of Wethersfield is remarkable. In addition to volunteering his time here at WVAA he is a successful small business owner, reads to the blind, and volunteers his free time to help those in need.
